Fuyang Port will launch container business

Recently, the 40-ton container fixed crane at Fuyang Port has been installed and entered the commissioning stage. It is expected to be put into trial operation in November. This marks that the long-awaited container business is about to be launched, which will change the history of no container terminals in the Shaying River and even the entire northern Anhui region.

Fuyang Port is one of the eight major ports planned in our province. With a total investment of 343 million yuan, it occupies 851 meters of shoreline. Currently, six berths have been built and an investment of 150 million yuan has been completed. It began trial operation in January 2015. Currently, one 10-ton and one 20-ton grab fixed crane have been installed, and the cargo throughput has reached 50,000 tons per month.

After the container business of Fuyang Port was launched, containers can directly travel through Fuyang Port to and from ports such as Lianyungang, Zhenjiang, Taicang and Nanjing, further reducing the logistics costs in Fuyang and its surrounding areas, shortening the transshipment cycle of goods, and providing waterway transportation services for raw material imports, product exports and production and living supplies in the urban area of Fuyang and its surrounding development zones and industrial parks.
