What else can containers be used for besides loading goods? Recently, in a certain district of Qingdao, a row of six container houses caught people's eyes. What was impressive was that they could not only be used as temporary dormitories for construction but also be converted into pocket-sized family suites, which were fully equipped with living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, shower rooms, bathrooms and so on. However, as its random placement is suspected of being in violation of regulations, it is still too early to turn it into low-rent housing for migrant workers.
It is the same size as an ordinary freight container, with a standard interior area of 14.4 square meters. It has doors, Windows and even exhaust fans. Although it looks very much like a container, it is actually assembled and welded with iron sheets. The ceilings and walls inside the house are covered with magnesium oxide boards, and the floor is covered with wood plywood and floor leather. Like containers, this kind of container can be lifted and loaded by cranes and transported by trailers conveniently. A sparrow may be small, but it has all the vital organs. Entering the 'cabinet room', this space, which is only as large as a standard room in an ordinary hotel, has a layout like a fully furnished suite: the living room is equipped with a sofa, coffee table, TV and air conditioner; the bedroom has a bed and a wardrobe; and the bathroom has a washbasin, a toilet and a shower head. These container houses were all built with electrical circuits and drainage pipes set up according to the customers' requirements. They can be used with most household appliances and can accommodate a family of three.
Container houses are a popular way of living nowadays. We often see them on construction sites. Due to their time-saving and labor-saving nature, many people also use them as small stores, temporary housing, and field exploration houses. They are indeed very convenient.
